Senior Project Manager - data center construction (m/w/d)

These are your tasks

We are building the biggest Open-RAN network in Germany, involving hundreds of medium & small size data centers spread over country. The Senior Project Manager of Data Center Construction will need to manage the end-to-end construction of the data center, including design, civil work construction, transport construction, integration and commissioning, infrastructure and technology acceptance, handover activities. This role is critical to ensure the construction are completed on-time, within budget, and meet the agreed quality standard. This role interacts with many departments and contractors including operations, designers, engineers, procurement, vendors, and facilities staff.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning process of Data Center construction, to decide Data Center size, prioritization and scheduling, resource planning etc.
• Maintain relationships with construction partners, including civil work, transport, system integration partner etc.
• Maintain relationships with other stakeholders, including cloud engineering, transport engineering, network operations, radio planning etc.
• Monitor the progress of Data Center construction from relevant partners, work effectively and actively on the day-to-day project issues
• Support the logistic process, including checking and approving material delivery request, material forecasting based on deployment plan etc.
• Escalating the potential issues, e.g delays, to ensure early awareness to required stakeholders and seeking for proactive solutions or mitigations
• Identify and report project risks as needed.
• Managing the quality of Data Center construction, ensure the infrastructure and technology are built in compliance to relevant standards and industry practices
• Ensure the technology is built as per the design and hand over to network operation will happen smoothly

Your skills

• Fluent in English, basic level of German is added.
• 10+ years of relevant professional and project delivery experience
• Mid-level knowledge of cloud, virtualization, IP and transport
• Familiarity of local German and EU construction legislation (DIN and ISO standards).
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction supply chains in the region.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
